Discover Define Design

Our approach is different to that of a straightforward design agency. We offer more of a brand consultancy approach and all of our creative work is the product of full research, lateral thinking and working with our clients to really understand their business and business challenges. We provide the appropriate insights to ensure the offer is fully in tune with the target market - existing and potential. We give brands increased credibility in the marketplace, help to develop their own unique brand values and ultimately deliver more intuitive, individual and compelling brand work and creative that will not only inform, inspire and motivate consumers but will do the same for all staff and stakeholders.

We divide our projects into 3 stages – Discover, Define, Design. These are pretty self explanatory. Discover is about discovering more about the brand, research, analysis and insights. Define is about defining and agreeing the true values of the brand and Design is about visually expressing how the brand should look/feel and touch going forward. Not all of our clients require all three stages, so although they form a 3 stage process they can be delivered individually.

Discover

The Discover Stage is about gaining key insights on the company and brand from customers and staff. These are gleaned through online surveys and focus groups. This stage provides the foundations for defining brand values and brand personality.

Define

The Defining Stage involves workshops and interactive exercises to establish brand positioning and differentiation. We develop a personalised brand pulse that defines what’s at the heart of the brand and this reveals the most appropriate brand strategy for development.

Design

The Design stage is the visualisation of the brand. This is where we work to ensure the visual language of the brand expresses the brand personality and clarity of the offer. It’s a pure design, look and feel stage and can be broken down into a number of routes depending on individual client requirements.

Clarence

In order to deliver Clarence with the business tools they required and to stand out from an already cluttered and often 'unpleasant' market, we needed to create a website with a fresh tone of voice, a caring and family feel, easy to use and above all expressing a respectful manner at all levels. This was achieved through its clean navigation with clear signposting of information, the introduction of specifically commissioned illustration and the use of a calm colour palette. www.clarence.co.uk
