Seven months to create every element of a 7,000sq store in prime retail space on Deansgate in Manchester city centre was a challenge. But we got there and we got there with impact.
No lighting superstore existed – this was a first of its kind, impact was vital. We developed a concept that enveloped the whole mood of the store and then broke it down into different lifestyle zones. We worked on the overall identity, internal and external elements, shopfront, signage, furniture, shopfitting systems, materials and finishes.
Logistics, with over 1,000 individual light fittings were key too. All those lights on at once would create meltdown. But it all came together and Lightbox was born.
